OUR STORY

Who we are

Our project aims to transform Paros and Antiparos into the best and safest places for free-roaming cats. By implementing humane and effective population management strategies, we strive to create an environment where cats can thrive and coexist peacefully with the local communities.

Our approach includes Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) programs to ensure the well-being of the cat populations and the satisfaction of residents.

Our Mission

To support the delivery of comprehensive, community-based cat care and population management on the islands of Paros and Antiparos, demonstrating that this approach is effective and can be replicated elsewhere.

Meet the Team

The Animal Action Greece team dedicated to the Community Cat Care Project on Paros and Antiparos is fully staffed and driven by a shared passion to improve the lives of the islands’ cats.

Eleni Michalodimitraki serves as our Cat Counting & Monitoring Lead, gathering essential data to measure and showcase the impact of our efforts, ensuring our actions are both effective and informed.

Isabel Borst is our Community Engagement & Communications Lead, responsible for raising awareness and building community support for our cat care initiatives, strengthening the bond between residents, visitors, and the cats they cherish.

Martina Guerra, a familiar face to many, has been working with the cats of Paros for several years. She’s constantly on the move, lending equipment, supporting volunteers, and bringing cats into the program for neutering and care.

Flora Tsilaga, based in Antiparos, is the vital organizer behind the project. Flora is the first point of contact for requests and coordinates the entire project’s structure, ensuring smooth operations across both islands.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated team working alongside our partners to transform the lives of Paros and Antiparos’s community cats. To meet the broader Animal Action Greece team supporting these efforts, please visit Animal Action Greece’s main website
